God's plan of salvation

Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour?

Have you received Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour?

These are two of the most fundamental questions that a person can ask themselves, and are also two of the most important questions.

Are you a sinner?

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23

Of course!  A sin is a sin.  If you think of God's ten commandments, every person at some point in their life tells a lie. Many commit adultery, dishonor their parents, use the name of the Lord in disrespectful ways, or even murder. The point is that everybody sins; sin is in our nature.  God made man in His own image.  He gave the ability to choose right from wrong.  Unfortunately we choose sin and our sins keep us from God.

What does sin deserve?

"For the wages of sin is death" - Romans 6:23

Wages means payment, and our payment for sin is death, Hell, and eternal separation from God.  Everyone sojourns closer to death with each breath of air.  The human body (the flesh) has been bound to death since Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden.  Old Testament law required sacrifice of only the cleanest and most innocent of God's creatures for payment of sin.  Jesus Christ was the cleanest and most innocent of all and he paid the ultimate sacrifice for you.  All of our sins were laid upon the cross and Jesus paid our sin debt for us.

What is the Gospel?

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved." - Romans 10:13

What must you do to be saved? What does it mean to be saved

Realize that God loves you and He has a plan for your life.

We must personally pray and receive Christ as our Saviour.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

Everlasting life begins when we receive Christ as our Saviour.
